Check out this killer 1959 Fender Telecaster in original Blond finish with Maple fretboard! This one has been played and maintained in the way its long time owner saw fit back in the 70s and 80s, but still retains the original finish and pickups. Sometime long ago it received a refret with jumbo size frets, some overspray on the neck, shielding paint inside the pickup and control cavities, a some modification involving an extra hole on the control panel. Since I purchased it about a month ago, I've had the bridge pickup rewound by Tom Brantley in the original factory style and had the frets dressed. It's a really fun player that's up for anything from the stage, studio, or collection.

Measurements: 6.9lbs (3.15 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.69" wide at the nut, 0.85" deep at the first fret, and 1.00" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 7.35k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 6.10k ohms.

Dates: The neck heel has no date which is typical of 1959. The potentiometer codes read "137 916" (137 = CTS, 9 = 1959, and 16 = 16th week of the year).

Originality: Refret with jumbo frets long ago, replaced bone nut, overspray on the neck, shielding paint in cavities, original bridge pickup rewound, switch replaced, capacitor replaced, vintage saddles but not original to this guitar.

Playability: Killer!! While I personally wouldn't have refretted a 50s Telecaster with jumbo frets, it's really fun to play and much closer to modern playability. The neck is straight, the electronics function as intended, and it's ready for anything you can throw at it.

Condition: Good with two small splits at in the body which are 100% stable.

Included: A newer G&G hardshell case is included.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
