Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a clean 1980 Greco Super Real 1959 Les Paul model EGF850 with a couple mods and all the charm of a 1959 Les Paul right down to the Nitro finish. This one came to us without a neck pickup or tuners. A set of Gotoh vintage Kluson style tuners dropped right in and a Tokai MK series humbucker was a perfect match to the PU-2 stock bridge pickup. They both read 8.2k ohms and sound fantastic. Serious tone. It's a solid Mahogany body with a flame Maple laminate over a Solid Maple cap, one piece Mahogany neck and a comfy '59 neck profile.
The nut measures 1.73", neck depth is .88"-1.01" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's your typical full C '59 profile. 24.75" scale, 7.25" radius, 9.7 lbs. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. It plays very cleanly with low 1.5mm-1.0mm action and a set of Ernie Ball 10 nickel slinkys and accurate intonation. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the faux leather gig bag in the photos.
