As you can see, this Prototype features the actual color and Boa Snakeskin pattern that was ultimately chosen by Vinnie and Pearl to be the production model sold to the masses. This is the only prototype ever made and is slightly different in pattern and ply from what was ultimately the production model. I also have the 1 of 1 "Money Green" Python Snakeskin prototype avaliable for sale here along with the rest of Vinnie's snare collection and his brother Dimebag's last guitar. The Python example never went into production.

This drum is not only an important piece of rock and metal history, but it is also an important part of modern drum history. This was the largest snare ever made by Pearl when it was released. It featured thicker ply and premium manufacturing that gave it a powerful sound and tone unlike anything on the market.
