The complete Charlie Barker stack — head, cab, and reverb unit — three handwired, American-made pieces of gear sold together for less than buying separately.
"Dedicated to the Chicago-based neighborhood celebrity dog that knew no stranger. Charlie loved being outside sunbathing and greeting everyone with smiles and friendly barks. He was known for his smarts and for being the best companion. Everyone deserves a Charlie Barker in their life, so what are you waiting for? Grab yours today... and while you might think I'm referencing an amplifier, I am referencing a dog. Go adopt a dog. You can thank me later by buying an amp."— Anthony H., Marla Amplification
The Charlie Barker S40 Head
42 watts. The most headroom, the most tonal range, and the most amp for the money in the entire S Family. Fat, rounded cleans with Twin-like headroom, Superbass-sized coupling caps for massive low end and smoother harmonics, and two independently voiced channels that go from pristine clean to driven overdrive depending on how hard you push them. Loud, raw, expressive — built for Strat players, Les Paul players, stompbox enthusiasts, vintage tone chasers, and amp modeler converts who are finally ready for the real thing.
Channel One — Round, Loose, Expanded Low Pass Open and warm with an extended low-pass voicing. High and Low sensitivity inputs. A Boost switch that pushes mids and top end hard into the power section.
Channel Two — Classically Voiced with Tone Sweep Tighter and more focused with a dedicated tone pot for precise frequency control. High and Low sensitivity inputs. Its own Boost switch for the same mid and top-end push when you need it.
Tone Bright Switch A global Bright switch that adds cut and clarity across both channels when the room calls for it.
Jump Both Channels Fully independent voicing and signal path. Jump them with an ABY or cable and the Charlie Barker opens into a harmonically rich, complex overdrive that neither channel delivers alone.
Tube Flexibility Ships with JJ 6L6GCs, but accepts 5881s or EL34s with a professional rebias. 5881 swap tightens the mids and compresses the headroom. EL34 swap adds JCM-style aggression when driven.
Handwired point-to-point in Asheville, NC. Orange Drop coupling caps, Mojotone KingCap filter caps, Hammond 290 Series power transformer, Hammond 1760 Series output transformer, Alpha pots.
The T212CB 2x12 Extension Cabinet
Designed specifically to match the Charlie Barker's tonal character. Loaded with a 50W Mojotone Anthem on top for Jensen-style midrange cut, and a 70W Mojotone Greyhound on the bottom for balanced G12T-75-style accompaniment — chime up high, authority on the bottom, nothing piercing or muddy in between.
A center baffle increases low-end weight while preventing airflow from muddying the adjacent speaker. Two offset handles double as small ports — primary closed-back design that keeps projection moving forward while letting just enough air escape to keep the low end responsive and defined.
The Libby Dual Reverb + gNARLY Overdrive
This is not a reverb pedal. The Libby is a standalone, handwired dual-tank spring reverb unit with a built-in tube overdrive stage — designed to integrate into any rig and add expressive, spacious, dynamic ambience that no single-tank unit can replicate.
Tank One — Bright & Short A 3-spring tank delivering a punchy splash with immediate slap-back character. Always on. The classic, familiar spring reverb tone most guitarists already know and love.
Tank Two — Dark & Long Atmospheric, immersive, and tied to a rear-panel footswitch jack. Engage the footswitch and Tank Two transforms into a lead boost with ambient decay — a direct nod to the legendary Golden Cello effect. Swap the tank outputs to reverse the configuration.
Reverb Source Selector Four modes that change what feeds the reverb driver: dry mechanical resonance only, high-frequency content only, standard gain stage signal, and post-overdrive signal. Each mode unlocks a distinct reverb personality from the same unit.
gNARLY Overdrive Stage Harmonically rich tube overdrive built into the signal path. Roll back the Gain for smooth and buttery. Turn it up for fuzzy and aggressive. The overdrive interacts directly with the reverb source selector, unlocking entirely new ambient textures when combined.
