Inspired by the legendary Gibson SJ-200, “The King of the Flat-Tops,” this guitar boasts a cutaway for improved access to the upper frets. The J-200 Studio EC has a layered maple body with four-ply binding on the top, single-ply binding on the back, fretboard, and headstock, and a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that will sound even better with the passage of time. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a glued-in tapered dovetail neck-to-body joint and has a 1960s SlimTaper™ D profile that makes it comfortable to play. The neck is capped with a rosewood fretboard equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with pearloid graduated crown inlays. The other ends of the strings are routed over a compensated plastic saddle and are anchored to the Moustache™ rosewood bridge with ivory with black dot bridge pins. The Moustache bridge is decorated with four pearloid inlays. Other features that give the J-200 Studio
