Slingerland - 5x14" No. 192 TDR Model 10-Lug Snare Drum - Chrome Over Brass (JL Slng #20)
This No. 192 TDR 5x14" chrome-over-brass snare was introduced in the mid-’70s as the new 10-lug “Buddy Rich” TDR model. It pairs a heavy COB shell with 10 Sound King lugs, stick chopper hoops and the elaborate Total Dynamic Response (TDR) strainer and matching extended butt, giving it a warm, full voice that still has serious bite and projection. The late ’70s chrome/black Niles badge and high serial place it squarely in Slingerland’s last classic Illinois years. Set up right, it delivers that big, articulate, slightly dry vintage brass crack that works just as well in a modern studio as it did on ’70s stages.
