A late-’80s Yamaha BB1600/BBX — the same that gave us the BB3000. These Japanese BBs are tanks: punchy P-style fundamentals, tight lows, articulate mids, and a unique flex due to the PJ layout and Yamaha’s build philosophy.
Condition:
Very good for its age. Shows honest wear: light dings, surface scuffs, small finish check near a tuner, and normal finish aging. Nothing that affects playability. Neck is smooth, holds time well, frets still have life, and the bass plays well.
Upgrades / Extras:
• New pots installed for reliability
• Original pots included in the sale
• Gold hardware still intact (rare for these)
Can be a collector or a daily. Pictured case not included.
