Beautiful example of a 1950s A. Zildjian 22″ ride cymbal, weighing in at 2410 grams. This is a true vintage USA-made Small Stamp era cymbal — hand-hammered and lathed in the old Quincy, MA factory.
Condition: Excellent for its age. No cracks, no keyhole, just light surface patina consistent with natural aging.
Sound: Lush, warm, and complex — shimmering stick definition with a musical wash and a gorgeous, controllable crash. Perfect for jazz, blues, or vintage rock applications.
These 1950s Zildjians are becoming increasingly rare in this kind of shape. If you’re looking for that dark, expressive ride tone that defined the post-bop and early rock eras, this one nails it.
