Oh do I love this bass - Super early issue - Both neck and body are dated January 1983, pots are dated 8228 and a V00 serial number. She's one of the first. All great basses get played and this is a great bass. Shows expected player wear for being in service for over 40 years. No abuse, no ooops damage, just typical expected wear and patina. Nice weight at 9.4 lbs and a newer but not brand new Fender Tweed Case. Like all 40+ year old super models, she's had a little work - Pro refret with a new nut at the same time and a very cool clay dot conversion. The bass arrived here with the orig pickups in the case and DiMarzio's installed. We have the orig pickups reinstalled but they did need lead extensions. The windings are original. The bass plays really well and sounds just as good as it looks.
We're pros at KBW. We stand behind every item we sell. Every instrument is set up, has good strings and fresh batteries. There's a reason our pro clients trust us ship direct to their stage. We buy so much misdescribed junk its not even funny and we promise a peace of mind experience. Thank you for your consideration.
