Unlabeled Koa Soprano Ukulele c.1920's/30's

What a wonderful little uke! All solid woods, with rope binding and inlaid fretboard. The neck is mahogany and the top, back, sides and fretboard are all koa. Since it's unlabeled, we can't say for sure where, when or by who it was made. The neck being mahogany is a clue that says that it might have been made stateside instead of Hawaii. We dressed the frets, did a little setup work to it and put on new Aquila strings. This instrument plays easily and has a lovely tone. Very pleasing to play! The fingerboard inlay is slightly split in the center, which doesn't affect play. By the 2nd and 3rd frets, there is some material next to the frets, which has laquer over it, just like the rest of the fingerboard, which doesn't affect play. There is a scratch on the back that looks like a crack, but isn't. One of the tuner heads has a slight crack to it. Glue has been worked into it. It and the other 3 tuners all hold tune well. Other than that, it's just faint play wear. It is in very good condition and comes with it's original tan colored trapdoor chip case.
