Here's a 1964 Gretsch 6122 Country Gentleman. Fantastic playing and sounding example, from a really cool transitional year for the model. The guitar is strikingly beautiful, with nice dark walnut stain finish. The binding has your typical 'rotting" in some spots, with a couple of those spots having binding repair, but a majority of it is clean and fully in tact. The dual mute system (the levers on the inside of the guitar), are not the originals. Nor is the rubber. But the knobs and red felt are. The system works to perfection though! The bridge is not original either. Rest of the guitar is 100%. The guitar sounds incredible, with a Super'Tron in the neck, and a Filter'Tron in the bridge. This pickup configuration is unique to 1964. Both are strong, and wonderfully articulate. The neck has a comfortable full feeling C profile, with low playing action down the fingerboard. The action is low, and the frets are in good shape with life left. The Bigsby vibrato works great too! It's smooth, with a lot of range, and holds tune. This is a super fun and inspiring guitar. OHSC Included!
