For your consideration and viewing pleasure is an extremely rare Recording King prototype manufactured by Greg Rich in California. This is one of only a few prototypes made by Greg with all American top tier parts. Greg was the luthier for Gibson and is credited with transforming Gibson’s reissue banjos. Greg is arguably the greatest banjo designer and luthier of the last eighty years. The banjo sports a gold plated Tennessee 20 tone ring and has Granada style engraving on the tension hoop and armrest. Absolutely gorgeous Cherry sunburst maple. Spectacular tone that will peel the paint off your walls. A highly collectible heirloom quality banjo destined to appreciate substantially. It is a lifetime banjo and a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a phenomenal and super rare piece of banjo history created by the master. As far as build quality and tone it rivals other top of the line banjos manufactured by Gibson, Huber, Stelling, and Deering. Oxidation present on Gold plating as seen in photos. HSC
