The 1964 Martin D-18 Dreadnought is a vintage acoustic icon celebrated for its warm tone, powerful projection, and timeless craftsmanship. Built during a golden era of Martin Guitar production, this model embodies the classic dreadnought design that has shaped generations of music.
Crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the 1964 D-18 delivers a rich, balanced sound with crisp highs, punchy mids, and a resonant low end. Its rosewood fingerboard and 20-fret mahogany neck offer smooth playability, while the natural gloss finish highlights the wood’s elegant grain. Known for its durability and tonal clarity, this guitar has been favored by folk, country, and bluegrass legends. Whether strummed or fingerpicked, the D-18 responds with a voice that’s both bold and nuanced—making it a treasured companion for studio sessions and live performances alike
This guitar is in great shape for it's age! Some finish checking is present as shown and the tuners have been replaced. The neck has been reset and the top has a crack repair. No cleats, but it is a solid repair. Fret ends cleaned up and minor fret level done.
She's a beaut!
