Craviotto #97 Solid Shell "Timeless Timber" Snare Drum with SKB Case - 5.5" x 14" Birdseye Maple

This limited edition Craviotto snare was originally purchased in 2002 and has had 1 owner in its lifetime. It has never been played and has only been handled with gloves, so the (original) heads and snare wire are in perfect condition and there is no tarnish on the gold hardware. The name plate on the side has been left blank so it can still be engraved with the owner's name if desired. The original receipt and warranty paperwork are present, and the inside of the drum was signed by Johnny Craviotto.

The drum includes an SKB hardshell case, in excellent condition. It also includes an original Craviotto drum key and a Craviotto baseball cap.

"During the period from 1870 to 1920 A.D. the forests of the Great Lakes region of North America were clear-cut to make lumber to build America's towns and cities. These Maple, Oak, Birch, and Ash trees had been growing for hundreds and hundreds of years, sheltered by a canopy of taller Pines and untouched by the hand of man. As the trees were felled, each lumberjack placed his registered sawyer's mark on the log to identify both the cutter and the year of harvest. When the logs were floated down the lake to local sawmills some became water-logged and sank to the bottom.

There the logs rested for decades, perfectly preserved by the low temperature and oxygen content of the water. Recently, this under-water treasure was discovered and reclaimed by the Lake Superior Water-Logged Company. Made from only wood of this type, vintage and quality that still exists on Earth, this Craviotto solid shell snare drum has been custom-crafted from a single piece of hand-selected "Timeless Timber" - creating a totally unique musical instrument that is unmatched in appearance and tone."
