BC Rich Mockingbird Koa shorthorn deluxe. From the golden era of the handmade BC Rich.
Koa neck, koa wings, maple stringers, wings are painted a transparent ox blood / maroon color. This is a factory finish, probably done to hid some funky grain pattern or fill you can see on the bass side wing. At some point locking posts were added.
Other than the bridge posts everything else is original, Quan Badass, Dimarzios, Grover super rotomatics, like all the good ones had back in the day. It's solid, plays great, sounds great, all electronics work. If you know old BCRs this neck is a little thinner & not as round as most of the era. Its OLD it has its share of minor dings, dents, scratches, but there are NO cracks, big chips or missing wood. Just a nice played but loved vintage BC Rich.
