Up for sale - An Overwater Custom J5 bass guitar. This is an excellent bass built in 2021 at the Overwater Shop in the UK. It is an excellent playing bass with low action. This is a custom model with upgraded and unique features that were ordered straight from Overwater.
I used it as my main 5-string bass for several years. Mainly for church and higher profile casino and tribute gigs.
It is a great bass and I’m selling only because my current gigging situation prefers 4 string.

Neck Joint: Extended Neck Joint - For super strong solid low B string
Neck: 3 piece Quartersawn Maple with Music Man style adjustment wheel. No finish on back of neck. Has fast worn-in vintage feel.
Fretboard: Rosewood

Bridge: Hipshot A Style - 17.5 bridge spacing
Machine Heads: Hipshot Ultra Lite Mini Clovers
Pickups: Active Overwater/Bartolini pickups - specifically designed by Bartolini for Overwater - different than OW basic pickups- these are hum canceling

A few signs of wear from regular professional use. The only blemish I can see is in the upper horn that I’ve shown in the photos the best I can. There is also a blackish tint that is in the finish, where you rest your RH forearm, from playing gigs where I was required to wear a black dress coat or jacket.
The same black tint is on the back where the stomach cut is.
This is an amazing bass that can play any and all genres of music from slap to gospel and everything in between. New this bass goes for around 5500.00. This is a great bass for a great deal!!
The video below ids me playing the bass with a Van Morrison Tribute band. Both pickups on full, tone rolled back, 1/2 to 3/4
