Tone and Versatility

At lower gain settings, Blumes delivers the same tight, responsive crunch loved in the original Plumes circuit — but as you push the Gain control beyond noon, the extra headroom and deep bass character transform it into a powerhouse drive pedal that shakes walls and fills rooms.

Blumes features three distinct clipping modes, each offering a different tonal character and response:

• Mode 1 – Symmetrical LED Clipping
  Crunchy, open, and powerful. Offers less compression, more output, and a raw, amp-like response.

• Mode 2 – Clean OpAmp Gain Boost
  Removes clipping diodes entirely for a loud, full-range boost. Ideal as a clean driver or preamp enhancer with maximum headroom.

• Mode 3 – Asymmetrical Silicon Clipping
  Warm, smooth, and compressed with fuzzy edges and clean undertones. Produces a transparent, classic overdrive character with rich harmonic content.
