Custom built "Melody Maker" style in solid Black Limba wood. This body was custom made in my shop. This is a beautifully figured piece of Black Limba. The body is finished with gloss polyurethane. The pickguard is a Melody Maker special for P90 pickups in black-white-black. There are three control knobs in dome chrome with vine inlay. There are two volume and one tone knob. The pots are CTS with Orange Drop capacitor. It has a three way selector switch. All hardware is in chrome. It has a chrome wrap around modern intonatable bridge by Wilkinson.
The pickups are Kent Armstrong - two "soap bar" P90HB at 19.6K, with black covers.
The neck is a solid mahogany set neck - it has a bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid pearl inlays. The neck has a 14" radius with 22 Medium Jumbo frets. It has a bone nut - 1.625" width - the scale length is 24.75". The gears are Grover Deluxe Classic style with vintage style buttons. The headstock has black vinyl applied to the face. Our signature "rising stars" in mother of pearl are applied.
The guitar weighs 8 lb. 13 oz.
