Vintage Astatic 840S Low-Z Lavalier 1960s Tested, Harp

Cool MCM vintage dynamic lav. Very low noise, would make a good harp mic but it would need a Hi-Z adapter. Really robust construction; solid milled stainless body with a heavy mesh grill. Impossible to kill! I tested it and it works great!

The 840S is a miniaturized and light weight dynamic lavalier microphone engineered to prevent chest cavity resonance. It features a recessed on/off switch to convert the lavalier to an hand held omnidirectional response pattern. The microphone includes a spring tie clip, a neck cord with holder and a 30 foot cable. The 840S has a DuPont Mylar® diaphragm providing stability, long life and is unaffected by moisture and temperature swings. It is finished in non-reflective brushed satin chrome.
