Beautiful 2005 Country Classic (not a Country Classic II). Made in Japan (Terada factory).

No issues and very little wear. Only notes are: the back pad had a piece of tape on it at one point that pulled off some of the "black" as seen in photos. And I'm still trying to find one of the pick-guard screws, as also seen in photos. Very minor stuff!

The guitar has been in studio use for several years and has overall seen very little action. Feel free to ask questions or request more photos. All original, including Gretsch G6242L Deluxe Hardshell Case!

Serial number: JT05095782

Features include dual High Sensitive Filtertron™ pickups, "tone switch" circuitry, "action-flow" neck, and Gretsch by Bigsby® B6G vibrato tailpiece.

Pickup in Philly is ok!

More on the model:

The Gretsch Country Gentleman (model G6122) and Country Classic (like this '62 Country Classic) are both semi-hollowbody electric guitars inspired by the iconic 1950s-1960s designs associated with Chet Atkins. They share a nearly identical construction, including a laminated maple body, 17-inch width, trestle bracing, Filter'Tron humbucking pickups, Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, and a 24.625-inch scale length. The primary differences stem from branding, historical context, and minor cosmetic or feature variations rather than fundamental design changes. The Country Classic was essentially a rebranded version of the Country Gentleman during periods when Chet Atkins licensed the "Country Gentleman" name to Gibson (roughly 1987–2007), allowing Gretsch to continue producing the model under a different name.
