Quad Eight QE444-X15 Equalizer Pair, Rack Mounted, 2 pairs available

Classic early 1980s sound. Semi-parametric 4-band equalizer with 11 selectable frequencies, +/-12dB range, selectable dual Q peak/shelf on HF and LF bands, dual Q for both mid bands, high pass and low pass shelving filters, and a coarse 5-dB step +/-15dB input gain control. The 444x uses the AM-10 discrete opamp, a close cousin of the infamous JE-990, to produce an impedance-balanced output capable of driving +27dB into a 600-Ohm load at less than 0.1% distortion.

The EQ modules were removed from a famous film mixing console in New York City as the world went digital. Their loss, these sound fantastic. Each module has had electrolytic capacitors replaced and had been mounted in a custom heavy-duty 2RU aluminum chassis with a clean, quiet regulated linear power supply, gold Neutrik XLR connectors, and removable rack ears and handles. Each unit has been tested and includes a power cable, rubber feet for desktop use, and a copy of the spec sheet and module schematics. Factory set input voltage of 120V, 60Hz.

We have 10 channels of these at our studio, and they are one of our favorite preamps/EQ channels. And we have a lot of great options including API, vintage Neve, Wunder, Chandler Limited, BAE, RND, etc. There is nothing else quite like these units. I'm only selling these because we are out of space!
