We have an all original 4001 that has never been touched. Untouched 79 harness. The tail pickup choke cap is still in place and the pickup is LOUD. All orig hardware other than the missing tail pickup cover (horseshoe) . Rod and cavity is super clean and barely touched. Nice action, excellent frets, proper relief. We like this one and you will too. The case is a modern Fender hard black tolex case and the bass fits like a glove. Only thing to point out is there was a minor chip (a small sliver) at the treble side of the headstock tip. It is not missing, it was glued back on. Its small, affects nothing and unless you're on top of it, it can be barely seen. This is a good bass that had loving stewardship its nearly 50 years in use.
