WE HAVE OVER 20 JUNO 106 SYNTHESIZERS POSTED!!! Be sure to check them all out (under our profile), and pick the one that has your name written all over it! ;)

(They are all equally amazing and ALL are fully functional. Only difference is aesthetics; that’s it!)

INTRO: Needs none!  ;)

If you love the 80's music (or Electronics in general), NO OTHER SYNTH WILL EVER GIVE YOU THIS KIND OF RICH N CREAMY, DELLISHH 80's ANALOG GOODNESS SOUNDS... It is a MUST HAVE!!!

WE HAVE A LARGE SELECTION OF CARRYING CASES!!!

Hard, soft, large, small…any kind; AT GREAT PRICES!

If interested, please inquire and I will share information, pictures and prices. And if you decided to purchase, I will ship together to save you money on shipping as well.

CONDITION: This MUSICIAN'S DREAM-GEAR is FULLY FUNCTIONAL, and I would say it is in AMAZING cosmetic condition (especially for its age)! However, and respectfully, since everyone has different standards; on the cosmetics, please don't take my word for it! I'll let the pictures do the talking. 🙂

SERVICE HISTORY: I am sure that if you are looking at this item, you know everything about it. So, I will first tell you about this particular gem:

IT HAS JUST BEEN FULLY INSPECTED/SERVICED AND IS READY FOR A NEW HOME!

The following services were just done, which cost us over $1600! IF you find another one for less than what ours is selling for, and since most of the used ones out there, that are supposed to be "fully functional", turn out NOT to be; you will then need to find someone who would work on these (which is very hard nowadays), and then who knows how much it would cost to make it fully functional??! Also, the JUNO 106 is known for its FATAL FLAW, their voice chip issue! And 4 out of 5 would need some kind of service/replacement, and that is very costly! $$$$ Especially since these synths are over 40 years old, which means unless they had just been serviced, hardly any of them would be fully functional; and CONDITION IS EVERYTHING!

SERVICES DONE:

  • Full inspection
  • Load tested for 2 hours
  • ALL 6 VOICE CHIPS replaced
  • Voice chip sockets installed
  • Key-bed completely taken apart, washed with soap, re-greased and fully restored
  • 9 dead keys restored
  • Keybed module PCB replaced
  • Outputs serviced
  • 1 plastic CAPs replaced
  • Output switch serviced
  • Fresh board battery installed
  • VOL POT restored
  • Sliders aligned
  • 1 slider replaced with new
  • Factory reset performed
  • All original factory presets re-programmed
  • All sliders/knobs serviced
  • All switches serviced
  • All contacts cleaned
  • All buttons serviced
  • Cleaned inside and out

PERSONAL OPINION: After trying it on/having fun with it (the best part about what I do with every single synth I get/have 😄), these are my professional insights/opinions about this magnificent machine:

This synth is one of the most amazing synths of all time! With its rich/creamy analog sounds, and heavenly string sounds, it is a timeless gear, which was way ahead of its time when it came out, and will forever be relevant, and usable in all electronic music productions. It is truly breathtaking... And for those reasons, it will forever remain a favorite, and will only go up in value! It is a MUST HAVE for anyone who produces music, or is simply interested in synthesizers...

The Juno-106 is a very common and widely used analog polysynth. It continues to be one of the most popular analog synths due to its great sound and easy programmability. It was the next major incarnation of the Juno-series, following the Juno-60. While it has virtually the same synth engine as the Juno-60, the 106 added extensive MIDI control making it one of Roland's first MIDI-equipped synthesizers. There was also increased patch memory storage, up to 128 patches instead of the 56 patches available in the Juno-60.

BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE VIDEO; IT'S FUN! 😜

(Please keep in mind that the video is just a generic one from YouTube, and is not made by us, or this particular keyboard. 🙂)

READ ALL ABOUT THIS DEVICE BELOW! (under "some specs from the web")

WHY BUY FROM US: Are you tired of buying used gear that doesn’t work properly/isn’t what it was supposed to be? WE (me and my wife) OFFER SOMETHING THAT NO ONE ELSE IS OFFERING! When you buy from us, you get a gear that: has been FULLY INSPECTED/SERVICED, is FULLY FUNCTIONAL (unless stated otherwise), has been FULLY DETAILED AND SANITIZED, and comes with NO SURPRISES!

Then WE PACK IT PROFESSIONALLY (preventing damages from occurring during its journey), and ALWAYS PURCHASE SHIPPING INSURANCE (unless not available) to protect both party’s investment/for peace of mind. Also, WE RECYCLE / (if possible) RE-USE EVERYTHING, to help reduce our carbon foot-print.

IF YOU LOVE SYNTHS, PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR OTHER LISTINGS, AND MAYBE SHARE WITH FRIENDS/FOLLOW? Your support would give us the fuel to continue our mission, which is to bring as many of these old beauties back to life as possible, and preserve these treasures for the future generations. A LITTLE ABOUT ME (Kevin):
I am a 46-year-old, with a degree in Electronics Engineering, who LOVES Synthesizers, sounds, Music, and Electronics in general. Even though I do not work in the Electronics industry; I have always loved/adored it, never separated from it; and as a hobby, I collect and restore them; and sometimes sell them to make room for others...

I've been around Synthesizers for over three decades, have serviced/restored hundreds of them, and have hundreds of the rarest/most sought-after synthesizers/keyboards available for sale. (which is one of the largest selections of used synthesizers found in one place!)

WHY BUY FROM US? (full version)
When you're buying a vintage (or just a used) car, does the condition matter? Of course it does! 😊 Are two used cars that are the same make and model the same? Would all similar (year, make and model) cars sell at the same price? No; there are many factors that would decide what price they fetch. Mileage, body, functionality, extra options, service history, past use... and one of the most important ones is CONDITION, which is everything! That is the reason a factory certified used Mercedes, fetches at least $4000 more, than the one you'd buy from a private seller you find on Craigslist.😊That's why when it comes to buying a used car, price is not everything... And buying a secondhand synthesizer, is no different than purchasing a vintage or used car.
Yes, I'm proud of my children for sure. Mainly because when it comes to used keyboards and synths (just like used cars), condition is EVERYTHING! I have searched hard, hand-picked and collected only the best of the best that are in pristine condition (majority of them); and then had them professionally inspected, serviced/repaired (if needed), reprogrammed/restored (if needed), detailed...
There's definitely value in that. On average, we spend about 5 hours on every single keyboard, before offering it for sale, and if they're not serviced, or if they don't pass the inspection, WE DON’T SELL THEM! We believe in selling ONLY high-quality items, to ensure that our clients are very happy with their purchase, which produces repeats, referrals and customers for life! 😁Not to mention the professional musicians that need to count on their instrument's reliability, as their livelihood depends on it. We have the biggest respect/admiration for the professional musicians, and want them to have peace of mind when they step on the stage…
In contrast, when it comes to USED GEAR FROM OTHER SOURCES, including the major retailers, you'd have to keep your fingers crossed until it arrives... And most often, they are NOT WHAT THEY WERE DESCRIBED TO BE, and most often, there is something wrong with the gear (as I am sure you, just like me, have experienced many times before). And often enough turn into headaches or heartaches...

However, you can rest assured, that if you buy from us, you will get a fully functional gear, and you'll get to see tons of details and pictures, before making up your mind! 🙂
No retailer would service them prior to the sale (they don’t even wipe it down!), as it costs an additional $300-$800 (or more)! Not to mention finding a Synth Tech is extremely difficult/costly nowadays. And that is what we do, as a labor of love! We do this because we really enjoy ANYTHING and EVERYTHING about synthesizers! Buying, selling, fixing, collecting, playing...we just love them! 😍
And finally, CUSTOMER SERVICE, which is also one of the major factors in retail/buying. We try our very best to provide everyone with the best possible service and experience; a fun one! We always stay on top of all communications in a timely manner, even/specially after the sale, which is where most sellers often disappear, or just don't care/reply...

Also, we are a HUGE believer in preserving, not just synthesizers (especially vintage!), but also our planet! So, we recycle EVERYTHING, and re-use as many parts as we can (fully functioning parts from donors), to help reduce our carbon foot-print.

If you've made it this far on this very long scroll 😄, you have our biggest thank you!

SOME SPECS FROM THE WEB:

(The following information is from the web, and not our words, so we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the statements, but believe them to be accurate, to the best of our limited knowledge on this instrument)

The Juno-106 is a six-voice polyphonic and programable analog synth with one digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) per voice. While classic monophonic synths used two or three oscillators to create a fatter sound, the Juno-106 uses built-in Chorus to fatten up its sound to dramatic effect. The nature of its DCO meant it was stable and always in perfect tune but still warm and analog. There is an excellent 24dB/oct analog lowpass filter with plenty of resonance and self-oscillating possibilities and a non-resonant highpass filter. The programable pitch/mod bender can be assigned to control the DCO pitch, VCF cutoff, and LFO amount all at once or individually.

The Juno-106 was the first MIDI equipped Juno and its implementation is quite good. There are 16 MIDI channels available and MIDI SysEx data can be transmitted/received from all the sliders and buttons for total remote control and sequencing capability. A switch on the back of the keyboard, next to the MIDI ports allows the user to switch between three types of MIDI modes: Keyboard and Hold data only; Keyboard, Hold, Bender, Patch selection data; or All data (including SysEx). Most users simply set it to MIDI Function mode 3 and forget it.

This synth is incredibly straightforward and very powerful. It's SH-series derived panel layout is easy to understand and very hands-on. Use it to generate lush pads, filter sweeps, and funky bass lines and leads. The Juno-106 is an awesome learning tool for anyone new to analog synthesis, as well as an electronic musician's dream for its warm analog sounds coupled with modern features like MIDI and memory - all at a very reasonable price. And still the Juno-106 has an even cheaper alter-ego in the form of the HS-60 - a hobbyist version with built-in speakers.

The Juno-106 is one of the most loved and used synthesizers by professionals and hobbyists alike! William Ørbit, Überzone, Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim), Autechre, BT, Vince Clarke, Moby, 808 State, Underworld, Leftfield, Fluke, Josh Wink, Todd Terry, Depeche Mode, Eat Static, Biosphere, The Prodigy, The Shamen, Bushflange, Cirrus, Astral Projection, Apollo 440, Faithless, Union Jack, Computer Controlled, Pet Shop Boys, Sneaker Pimps, Erasure, Freddy Fresh, Rabbit in the Moon, Kevin Saunderson, Jimmy Edgar, Laurent Garnier, Vangelis, Sigur Ros, and the Chemical Brothers have used this synth extensively! It belongs in your studio!

  • Polyphony - 6 voices
  • Oscillators - 1 DCO per voice: pulse, saw, and square
  • LFO - 1 with Rate and Delay
  • Filter - non-resonant high pass and resonant low pass (24 dB/oct)
  • VCA - ADSR, level and gate
  • Keyboard - 61 keys
  • Arpeg/Seq - None
  • Memory - 128 patches
  • Control - MIDI (In/Out/Thru)
  • Date Produced - 1984
