Here’s a bass I’ve just taken in p/x.It’s a 1995 G & L L5500 5 string bass, USA made and over 30 years old, so nicely vintage.It’s finished in a high gloss blue swirl finish, which is rather beautiful and changes in different lights.
Overall the condition of the bass is very good – the frets are excellent, everything works as it should, and has a bright, resonant tone which is easy to adjust (Vol/blend/stacked bass/treble)It does have a few dings on it though and some other marks.
They’re not very noticable however, and I’ve photographed the worst of them. The back of the neck is generally good but goes have a few small marks but nothing I could feel when playing it.
The quality of this G & L is very good and it has a few innovative features such as a micro-tilt adjustable neck, and you can lock the bridge saddles in place when you’ve finished adjusting them with a screw positioned on the side.If you’re after a pro-quality USA made 5 string, this one is definitely worth considering.
A lot of bass for the money.Comes with a good gig bag.
