Vintage U87 pair! Both microphones are in excellent shape and sound nearly identical. They can easily be used for stereo recording. All polar patterns work well, as does the pad and roll off switches. They are in very clean condition (no dents on windscreens and barely any marks on the bodies) with one of them having been serviced in 2023 by Neumann specialist Tom Onofrio. He replaced the capsule with a NOS Neumann KK87. I have had these for several years but haven't used them since my studio closed some years ago. They've been in their case in a room with a dehumidifier waiting for someone to let them out.
These mics REALLY sound good!! I never really cared much for the U87 until I tried these vintage ones. Now I get it! These are much more alive and special sounding than the later Ai version.
They come in a Neumann aluminum case with two Neumann shock mounts - which both look original - a 1970's and one a 1980's version. Both say Made in Germany on the sticker.
