(Serial No. 82643) Excellent condition. The Country Western is the same model as the Southern Jumbo but with a natural finish top. Otherwise the guitars are identical. Fabulous sounding guitar that really nails the Gibson midrangy slope shoulder dreadnaught sound. Natural top finish, Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Brazilian bound rosewood fretboard with double parallelogram inlays and Brazilian bridge, and seven layers of top binding. Still has the tall thin 50s style top and back braces (like the Hummingbird) and the wider 1 11/16 inch nut. The Kluson tuners are original. The frets are in good shape. No repairs noted. Very clean guitar showing minimal playing and handling wear. Plays great with a nice low action as the guitar was set up by luthier Bob Peterson. Has a nice big open woody sound with strong volume and good midrange - exactly what you are looking for in a 1960s Gibson dread. Comes with a newer hardshell case
