The 16-ply Gretsch Mahogany/Maple Snare Drum collection offers the best of both worlds: the distinct sound and feel of Mahogany combined with the brightness of Maple. This assortment is designed to accommodate a wide range of musical preferences and styles.
The 6x13” and 5x14” models feature a sharp 30-degree bearing edge, providing a cutting attack and powerful backbeat, complemented by a subtle dark undertone. In contrast, the 6.5” and 8x14” models have a softer 30-degree bearing edge, resulting in less attack but a fuller, darker low-end and a fatter backbeat.
Each drum is beautifully finished in a glossy lacquer and is equipped with Tilco Snare Wires, 2.5mm Triple Flange Hoops, and our newly designed Full Range Throw-off and Butt Plate.
