This is a super rare 1st edition Gibson Baldwin
Les Paul jr
It says “talent” on the head stock and it has a Gibson style headstock
It has the Gibson Baldwin badge on the back where the neck bolts on the body.
Body is maple and has some weight to it.
The original ceramic pickup has been replaced with a Gibson USA alnico 498t, That I installed myself. It has the Gibson USA logo and I believe is also from the early 2000’s
Great ,if you like to roll the volume up and down
The pots have been replaced too. with full size genuine Gibson stamped pots as well, so it’s a real Gibson sonically. (see pics) I have part of the original harness still, which I will include- (I’m not sure what happened to the other small pot)
Comes with a cool vintage hardcase, all the latches work
The electronics and tuners are worth $200
Awesome to look at.
Has a couple very small dings
No cracks, breaks or repairs
Tuners have been upgraded to gotoh, so it stays in tune.
