Martin / 1979 D-18

The current D-18 is well-made.
Its tone and response are beautifully balanced, making it an excellent choice for any player.
However, if you've ever felt it lacking something, you might be looking for a more raw feel, a roughness or earthiness, more of the instrument's natural character.

This 1979 D-18 has that feel.
This guitar is from the middle of what's known as "vintage." The wood has thoroughly dried, giving the sound a slightly rounded contour while retaining its core, and the overtones and air movement have a unique depth.

The fine weather-checking engraved on the top is not simply a sign of aging, but a testament to this guitar's long history.
While some modern guitars feature a similar finish, this one has a more authentic patina that comes with age.
This is not just beautiful to look at, but also naturally conveys the feeling that the instrument is alive.

[Condition]
- There is some weather checking on the body top, but it's in excellent condition considering its age.
- There is no buzzing or clogging in the tone, and it plays well.
- String height at the 12th fret: 2.5mm on the 6th string, 2.0mm on the 1st string
- Saddle overhang: Approximately 1.5mm-1.7mm
- The Martin logo plate on the top of the hard case is missing.
