Bedell Serenade Orchestra - Brazilian Rosewood Collection (1 of 8) - Collector’s Dream
The Holy Grail of Acoustic Guitars - Legally Documented Brazilian Rosewood
This is not just a guitar - it’s a piece of history.
You’re looking at one of only 8 Bedell Serenade Orchestra guitars ever made with legally documented Brazilian rosewood - the same legendary tonewood that created the iconic acoustic sounds of the 1960s. When Brazilian rosewood was declared endangered in 1992 (same classification as elephant ivory), guitars like this became impossible to make… until now.
The Story Behind This Unicorn
In 2013, Bedell Guitars acquired the entire remaining collection of pre-1967 Brazilian rosewood from a Spanish tonewood supplier - making them the only acoustic guitar company in the world with a large assortment of fully legal, documented Brazilian rosewood. This guitar represents that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Hand-crafted one at a time in the Bedell Custom Shop in Bend, Oregon, this Serenade Orchestra combines:
• Premium Sitka Spruce top for crystal clarity
• Legendary Brazilian Rosewood back and sides for those unmatched resonant bass and shimmering highs
• Art Deco inlays and Brazilian rosewood binding for stunning aesthetics
The Sound That Changed Music History
Brazilian rosewood’s unique tonal properties deliver what no other tonewood can match - that perfect balance of thunderous bass response and crystalline treble sparkle that defined the golden age of acoustic recording. Every note rings with clarity and rich overtones that collectors and players have been chasing for decades.
