We are selling this gorgeous D28 for a customer of ours. Bought by this gentleman in 1960 she`s been very well taken care of.
All original, including the Kluson Super Waffleback tuners, never had a neck reset done, she`s just had a good once over by a very experienced and respected Martin warranty tech and is ready to rumble!
Due to the value of this guitar we choose to do local pickup only.
Martin D28 Brazilian Rosewood 1955
This 1955 D28 beautifully showcases the big, full sound of the mighty dreadnought. Known for its ‘booming’ projection and tone, the Martin D28 has been one of the best-known and most trusted models played by guitarists around the world since its introduction in 1931. It also showcases the best of tonewood, as it has a brilliantly tightly grained Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top.
The dreadnought soundboard produces a beautifully balanced tone, with the powerful bass being very appealing. The sound characteristics of Brazilian rosewood are unsurpassed to this day, and while playing this guitar, you'll immediately know why.
The deep sound and power produced from this guitar, together with the thick, slightly rounder V-neck, give you the ultimate vintage Martin playing experience!
Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka Spruce top, Ebony bridge and fingerboard; if you`d like more information please contact us.
