A really nice bowlback mandolin. It has no maker's marks on it, but we can safely assume that it was made in the early part of last century. The mandolin sounds lovely and plays easily. We removed the fingerboard and planed the neck and did some other setup to it getting it ready, including putting on fresh strings. The mandolin is in great shape with mostly light wear some finish checking and some marking on the rosewood ribs. The ebony fingerboard has typical splits, which don't affect how it plays. This instrument is in very good condition. A nice, classic piece! No case.
