About This Custom Relic Guitar:

This instrument represents my personal tribute to two legends: guitarist Slash and master luthier Tom Murphy. Unlike typical relic jobs that simply replicate photos, every detail of this aging process was carefully researched and executed.

Through extensive study of archival materials, performance footage, and technical analysis, I've recreated authentic wear patterns that reflect:

Body dings and finish cracks from Slash's specific playing style

Fret wear patterns matching his technique

Unique markings caused by his characteristic jewelry during performances

Each imperfection tells a story - this isn't artificial distressing but a forensic recreation of how Slash's actual guitar would age through years of use.

While it can't compare to the original 'First Burst' or Murphy's own craftsmanship, this represents a level of detail and authenticity that sets it apart from commercial relic jobs. I'm proud of how it turned out and hope to find an owner who appreciates this labor of love as much as I do.
