I'm selling my beloved MA-2.2 because I'm moving towards using my console preamps which have a similar sound. Excellent condition both inside and out. Fantastic, big, clean, open and detailed sound on these units.
Transformerless input, using a stack of Wima film capacitors instead of electrolytics, but with a SOWTER 8403 output transformer on each output.
I took it out of the rack, just now, for the first time since I bought it 15 years ago, and I couldn't help but open it up to take pics of the robust and interesting build on the inside.
This comes straight from Mystic Valley Studio, and was used on recordings by Vundabar, American Nightmare, and Cold Cave.
