Warm, crisp, and surprisingly loud, this Grand Concert boasts Hawaiian koa all around, offset by ebony binding and a slotted peghead with an ebony overlay.

The Taylor Limited Edition Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar is sweet-sounding, all-koa, and trimmed with dark rich ebony binding. Named for the point at which the neck meets the guitar body, the 12-Fret Spring 2010 Grand Concert LTD is crafted with a unique geometry between the neck and bridge, which helps give the guitar a warm, robust vintage voice.

By joining the neck to the body at the 12th fret rather than the 14th, and repositioning the bridge farther back on the top, the resulting tone has a wonderfully aged sound”as if the guitar has been with you for years. It’s a sound that Bob Taylor calls “magical.”

The 12-Fret Taylor Koa Grand Concert’s appointments include an abalone rosette with an ebony-bound sound-hole and abalone-dotted ebony bridge pins.

Taylor Spring Limited guitars use Taylor’s popular and intuitive Expression System pickup, and are delivered in a hardshell case.

Taylor Expression System
The Taylor ES delivers an amplified tone that will satisfy the most demanding pro player, yet makes it simple for anyone to plug in and sound great. The Expression System incorporates three different magnetic sensors. Two strategically placed Dynamic Body Sensors affixed to the underside of the soundboard capture the complex nuances of the top’s vibration, while a Dynamic String Sensor mounted beneath the fretboard extension registers string and neck vibration. The preamp boosts the pickup signal cleanly, without the need for artificial EQ “coloration”. The balanced, low-impedance signal the Expression System produces can run direct into a mixer or PA in most situations, and is free of distortion at almost any volume. Three simple, unintrusive onboard control knobs preserve the aesthetic beauty of your Taylor, yet allow you to easily adjust the volume, bass, and treble to suit your personal preferences and performance environment. The payoff is in the purity of high-fidelity amplified tone, unprecedented dynamic range, and extraordinary resistance to feedback and distortion. It enables all of the expressive subtleties of your playing to come through, just the way you intended.
