This First Generation Sire V7 is a real player's instrument. Its a wonderful bass that has been very well taken care of for a decade. Natural finish with a maple neck and block inlays in true 1970s Jazz style. High mass bridge. 5 band Sire PreAmp. All the bells and whistles that come with Sires flagship model. Highly sought after Swamp ash body was discontinued due to wood supply shortage now is available on reissue sold for $800 new. Outperforms many basses that cost 3X the price. Best value bass you can find in my humble opinion.
This bass has very little superficial type wear. Minor fret wear (frets are 90%). No fret buzz. No electronics issues. A few tiny dings that are hard to notice on the back of the instrument about 2mm in size. Binding has standard wear typical of its age light checking at the fret wires; expected wear for a bound neck.
Played by working musician as a primary instrument for past 5 years. Not new, but is a crisp well maintained decade old instrument. This bass is an elite slapper and bridge finger funk vehicle. The Sire V7 neck is SPECIAL! Fast and smooth and natural. One of the best bass necks you'll ever play. You'll love playing this instrument.
The Sire V7 is about as good bang for the buck as you can find. Currently set with 100 - 80 - 65 - 45 rounds with low action 2mm. 9 lbs 6 oz. Neck is straight and no additional setup will be needed for most styles and preferences. I'd love to keep this V7 but I gotta downsize and this is no longer my number one four string; i also have a V7 5-string which is mainly why I'm deciding to rehome this wonderful funk machine.
This V7s tone is spot on the Sire demo video attached. It's fingerstyle tone is capable of aggressive growl and can articulate the nuance Of a players touch. Slap tone is modeled after Marcus and cuts through the mix like you'd expect a bass with his name attached to it.
This instrument made me fall in love with the bass again, it needs to be played. If you reach out I'll happily demo the instrument. Thank you for your interest.
