Horizon Series - The best of both worlds - vintage tone with modern drum build quality.

The Horizon Series is the original modern hybrid shell design, so highly sought after in today’s drum community. Unlike traditional cross plies, the horizontal orientation allows the shell to resonate more uniformly, like a steam bent shell. The softer inner ply of mahogany adds a dark tonal quality creating a vintage tone while maintaining the sonic fidelity associated with the Noble & Cooley name. Originally introduced in the 1980s and used to create the samples for Vintage Superior Drummer, these drums became legendary. We responded to customer interest in vintage tones and recently introduced a revitalized version for today’s drummer. With updated lugs, enhanced venting, CoolMount brackets and new finishes, these kits will satisfy the most discerning drummers.

Shells

Hybrid maple and mahogany ply shells with horizontal-oriented construction.

Finish

Available in all our standard and custom color options. This listing's drum is in Honey Maple Satin finish.

Hardware

Standard Noble & Cooley cast lugs in chrome or black. Tube hardware available as an upgrade in polished brass, chrome, or black nickel. This listing's drum features Standard Black Hardware.

Rims

Triple flanged in either chrome or black. Brass hoops, Die cast hoops, and wood hoops available as an upgrade. This listing's drum features Standard Black Rims.

Mounts

Toms 13” and below come with Coolmounts and suspenders, mounted on the bottom of batter side lugs for optimal resonance (can be mounted on top of lugs by request). Floor tom brackets and legs come standard for toms 14” and above.

Heads

Your choice of Remo or Evans heads.

N&C Brand

Signature hex shape badge available in black writing over silver or silver writing over black(as the drum in this listing is). Painted and Reveal logos are available as an upgrade. Suspended Toms have the option of placing the logo “centered” or in the “lower position” below the suspension mount.
