Marshall JMP 50-watt head from 1969, the legendary Small Box with a metal panel, a vintage tube amplifier in excellent condition. It is one of the first metal-front versions after the transition from the plexiglass panel, mounted in the classic "small box" chassis. It is equipped with a Drake 784-139 output transformer, a Drake 1202-118 power transformer, and an original Drake 352-114 choke, all from 1969. It is entirely hand-wired with a point-to-point circuit on a Bakelite board and features EL34 power tubes and JJ-brand ECC83 preamps.
The head still retains many of its original resistors, original Mustard capacitors, and the Polam double-pole metal switch. To ensure optimal functionality and maximum sound quality, some components have been replaced by a nationally renowned specialist technician, including some resistors and capacitors, the power light, the Alpha potentiometers, and an IEC socket in place of the Bulgin. Incredibly dynamic and powerful sound, with the signature Marshall growl that defined '70s hard rock. This head is one of the most sought-after for fans of the vintage Marshall sound.
