INFORMATION** 1996 American Standard Jazz Bass V 50th Anniversary Fender
- The Bass is in great working order. The sound and action of this bass are impeccable.
- JSA has authenticated the signature. We have a certificate of authentication. The signature is slightly faded due to being signed a long time ago.
It has the original signature from Marshall Grant of the original Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two
The asking amount is for the autographs and notoriety of the performer. If you're interested in owning a piece of history from the Sun Recording Dynasty, this is a great addition to your collection. The price is negotiable for the serious collector of this era only.
Marshall Grant, the Original Bass player for Johnny Cash, played standup bass in Johnny Cash's original trio and helped create the legendary singer's distinctive, rhythmic sound in the 1950s. Marshall arguably made the unique slap bass playing style, and died at age 83, on August 8, 2011. Marshall told me that this was the only bass he ever signed. He autographed this guitar in 2000 when he was the manager for the Statler Brothers.
