It is always a pleasure to have a beautiful old five string banjo in the shop. This Bacon dates to 1920, when his instruments were still produced in Connecticut. This banjo has a beautiful neck and rim, with a nice dark contrast on the back of the internal resonator. There is some slight delamination and lines in the wood that are included in photos. Life left in the frets, I'm not 100% on which tailpiece would have originally come on this, and the tuners appear to be original. This Bacon Professional FF No.2 has been with same owner for almost three decades, and now it's time for someone else to enjoy it! Original hardshell case is included.
