Custom Hardwood Side Panels for Yamaha Motif 8 Classic by niksGear

Custom made side panels for Yamaha Motif 8 synthesizer, hand-crafted by a woodworking professional to our specifications, exclusively for niksGear. These panels are flat-sided and are 1.125" thick, same as the factory panels that came with the Motif 8 Classic. They also fit Motif ES8 but are minus the beveled sides that the factory ES8 panels have because the Motif 8 Classic did not have the side beveling. (We also offer panels WITH the beveled sides to match the factory ES8 panels--see our listing for those.) However, whether you choose flat sides or beveled, the panels are interchangeable between the Motif 8 Classic and the ES8, because both instruments share the same body shape and screw hole locations.

These beautiful panels are fashioned from red oak and stained to bring out the attractive natural grain of the wood, then topped with a satin finish. Replace those boring gray particle board factory side panels and give your instrument a richer, warmer appearance that you'll be proud of, on stage or in the studio. They're very easy to attach--our panels come already pre-drilled with countersunk holes that match the originals--just unscrew the factory side panels and screw these on using the same screws. That's all there is to it.

These side panels are MADE UPON ORDER. Once you place your order and make payment, you can expect shipment within 5-6 days. Rest assured we will ship as soon as possible because Reverb will not release your payment to us until we provide them with tracking info proving the item was shipped. Because this is a permanently active listing, Reverb requires that we show a quantity on hand or else the listing automatically deactivates every time a pair is sold. But we want the buyer to understand that these are not kept in inventory and are only made when we receive an order for a set. This helps us keep the price as low as possible.

Standard finish is Red Oak Satin, but a number of color choices and finishes are available as no cost options. (See the chart pictured.) Be sure to specify which finish you would like; if no choice is made, they will be finished in Red Oak Satin.

We now offer side panels for all four generations of 88-key Motifs, as well as for the S90 and S90ES. We are very proud to note that industry professionals such as Justin Hayward and Westlake Recording Studios have our side panels in use. And just added to our line--the CP5. (We believe that these will also fit the CP1.) We also still have two remaining sets of side panels for the Yamaha DM1000 digital mixer. We do not plan to manufacture more of the DM1000 sides, so if you would like a pair, order soon before these are gone.
