Bacchus CONTINENTAL AKAMATSU '25/R DLPB-Aged (Dark Lake Placid Blue Aged)

The “Akamatsu Guitar Project” continues to evolve.

The Akamatsu Guitar Project utilizes red pine trees that have fallen or had to be cut down due to damage from pine weevils, etc., to create guitars. The new Akamatsu guitar was completed with a new essence.

Akamatsu Guitars with a New Design】

While inheriting the German curve around the perimeter of the body that was a trademark of the first Akamatsu guitars, the retro look of these guitars is appealing, as if they were discovered decades ago in an old garage. The name “CONTINENTAL,” which means “continent,” is a reference to the distinctive body shape of the guitar.

【Aged finish to bring out the character of the wood.】

The body, headstock, and metal parts have been aged to blend in with the overall design, taking the knots and stains of red pine as its unique characteristics.

【Modernized and Practical Specifications】

Side jack for easy handling on stage

Toggle switch for instant pickup switching

Contrary to its appearance, the controls and specifications have been updated for modern use. The design was created from the player's point of view, with the assumption that the instrument will actually be used on stage.

【Indian rosewood fingerboard】

The neck is made of Indian rosewood, a standard fingerboard material. The binding on the side of the fingerboard and the smaller-than-usual dot position marks give the design a sophisticated impression.

【Bacchus STP-1】

Bacchus original P-90 type “STP-1” is equipped. The wide-turn P.U. has a sharp and deep tone at the neck position, and the dry and chunky mixed tone at the bridge position gives it high versatility and expressiveness. This pickup is a good match for the red pine body, which is characterized by its light sound.
