Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.
You are looking at a very high quality Electro Voice RE-11 cardioid dynamic microphone made in 1994 as shown on the serial number and made in Buchanan, Michigan. It comes with the original E.V 312 model mic clip shown as well as the case in which to store. This is the nicest RE-11 model mic I currently have and they just don't come any nicer than this.
Pic # 2 shows the characteristics and original price on these RE series mics. These were (and still are) high quality mics that are even today commonly sought after. Pretty much bullet proof as well.
The RE10, RE11, RE15 & RE16 all utilized the exact same metal body but each came with a slightly different screen / globe and each had slightly different frequency ranges. The RE11 had a larger globe with pop filter to muffle a bit more of the unwanted "pops" you'd get from singing close into the mic.
This microphone has been thoroughly cleaned and tested. The signal strength is 100% and sounds excellent...set at 150 OHMS which is Medium to Low Impedance but has an adjustable bass drop off switch as seen in pic # 10 so that you can get more or less warmth in the tone from this mic depending on your personal needs. It has a beautiful, rich tone on the lower setting and is excellent for broadcasting and singing. A superb microphone all around. The chrome mesh screen is nice too with no discoloration, odor and no deformation. The pastel green painted finish has no wear at all. No dents or fractures and the E.V label is completely legible.
The mic takes a standard XLR cable which is not included but easy enough to find. The XLR pins were cleaned on this mic for a perfect signal once the cable is attached. The RE-11 does come with the original 312 model mic clip as well that works great for this microphone giving the user a wide degree of tilt up and down as needed. It grips the mic firmly so that it won't fall out. The mic clip will screw onto any desk or floor stand. It's just as nice as the mic.
The Vintage period case is also part of this package deal. A larger durable aluminum case with new foam inner padding. A Great place to keep the mic while not in actual mic as it keeps dust, dirt and scratches away. This case shows just very lite wear and has a nice dark black vinyl exterior with + a practical handle for carrying it around. The case is appx 10 inches across X 7 1/2 inches deep X 3 inches tall. It has a nice locking mechanism to keep the lid securely closed. Case is an easy 8 on a scale of 1 - 10. Plenty of room inside for a cable as well.
Overall this mic is physically a true 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. This RE-11 will get the job done. This is an American made mic that will continue to rise in price as the years go by.
