Up for sale is a vintage Gibson ES-355TD Stereo in the iconic Cherry finish. We believe this guitar is from 1967 based on the serial number and the knobs they used, though as with many vintage Gibsons, exact dating can be tricky. The serial number search indicates 1965 to 1967. This is early in that range. If you have any additional information or insights, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a 2 owner guitar. We got it from its second owner. He played it for years but kept it clean.

It has been tested and is working. The original pickups are intact and sound fantastic, delivering the rich, dynamic tone these guitars are known for.

It came into us in an SBK hard case yet we have swapped that case out for a Gibson ES case as shown that is newer yet a "Gibson" case. The bridge has been upgraded for better playability and intonation, but we’re including the original bridge in the case as well.

Cosmetically, the guitar shows normal player wear for its age. Please see the pictures above for condition. The pickguard shows some signs of it decomposing which is typical for these celluloid pickguards. The bridge pickup has some copper rust on the corner, and the pickguard mounting screw also shows some copper rust. We cleaned most of it off, but some is still visible. The Maestro Vibrola works great, though some of the gold plating has worn off.

This model features a slimmer neck profile that’s fast and comfortable to play. It has block inlays, and while the frets show some wear, they still have plenty of life left in them.

We are not sure how the stereo output works. We tried it with a TRS Y cable and it seems one side comes out the other side or both sides come thru when on lead bridge pickup then in middle or neck positions you just get one side.

This is a beautiful and great-playing vintage Gibson, ready for stage or studio. If you're interested, make us an offer!
