Hi there - here we have an original matched pair of JML Studios Vocalstressor modified Dolby 361 modules in perfect working order. See attached video for details about this iconic unit. These unique secret weapon compressors are known to lift and push forward a vocal in a mix, as Bruce Swedien first did to Michael Jacksons vocal stem in thriller when paired with a simple Shure Sm7, dynamic microphone! When he wasn’t using an iconic C12, he was using a cheap SM7 with this then obscure tape noise reduction units!

These unique encoder/decoder multiband compressors have since become world renowned for stealing the outboard show of many a famous artist such as Freddy Mercury, John Lennon (also often called “the Lennon trick”) and many more. These two modules have been thoroughly serviced and modified to yield a one button on and off magic hat trick that has been turned into a plugin as of late but nothing can beat the real deal. The Vocalstressor is also a singly powerful trick to bring forward not just vocals but synth stems, drum stems, guitars, percussion and more! You will be blown away at just how powerful these are.
