GDS 18W Vintage Output Transformer

The original and the best custom wound output transformer for dual EL84, 18 watt amps, This is the Vintage version output transformer. These are ideal for anyone who is building their own amplifier project or upgrading a factory-built production amplifier. The Vintage output transformer is reverse engineered from the original Radiospares output transformer used in the '60s including all of the little details that were present on the originals. This output transformer is an excellent upgrade for a failed transformer in any mass produced dual EL84 vacuum tube amplifier. Many of these production amplifiers use undersized, inadequate transformers which are prone to failure and poor tonal qualities. The Vintage OT replicates every aspect of the original RS OT faithfully.  It has a tagboard on the top where there are lugs for each of the wire connections.  The secondary is actually two separate windings one of which is tapped.  The primary side has the lugs for the ultralinear taps.  The Vintage OT has a slightly more airy top end compared to the standard 18W OT.  It sounds great in an 18watt amp.  You could also use this OT for a very fine hi-fi tube amp with a pair of EL-84s.
