There's just something about the feel of an old Tele'!  If you've never cradled one in your arms, you're missing the experience of a lifetime.  If you know the feeling of getting into a brand new car on the showroom, there is that "new car smell"; and then you climb into a 1963 Split Window Corvette... silver blue exterior with an "aged/worn just right" interior that has been meticulously restored EXCEPT for the "wears and tears" that 61+ years of use brought!  Now that's an entirely different and exhilarating experience!  The way the controls feel, and the way the car roars to life when started.  If you can picture that, then you'll get just a glimpse of what it's like holding a guitar such as this!  

Before we get into the “hard specs” of this particular guitar, let's get a view of this particular instrument. Per Fender - this is the exact description of a "Relic" aging model: "The authentic worn-in wear of a guitar that has experienced many years of regular use in clubs and bars. Marks that tell a story, finish checking all over the body; scars, dings and dents from bridge to headstock".

The tone and feel of this aged 1963 Tele will feel very comfortable in the first few seconds of play time!  The wiring on this guitar uses Fender's Modern Telecaster Relic w/GR.BKT PH Relic control, so there will be no surprises which pickup is doing the talking with it's 3-position switch; and the hand-wound twisted Tele neck pickup and Hand-Wound OBG Bridge Relic pickups will give you that vintage tone as well as warmth and bite when you delicately use the well tuned volume and tone controls - mix exactly the tones you are looking for combining these controls with your amps controls.

Your fretting hand will thank you for this AAA Rosewood fingerboard on a '63 Relic neck with 60's style oval "C".  This Tele just WANTS to be played.  Don't leave it home - this one wants to be with you!
