The Sabian HHX Dominator China Cymbal

Known worldwide as Drumming’s Global Ambassador, Dom Famularo was one of the most influential and cherished drummers, educators, and motivators in the industry. Since 1985, as a SABIAN artist, Dom has been synonymous with the company, sharing SABIAN's commitment to artistry, dedication to craftsmanship, and sense of family. In honor of this longstanding friendship and partnership, SABIAN is delighted to introduce the new 20" HHX Dominator China.

Dom was renowned for his unique technique of playing Chinas by striking the edge from both sides consecutively. This distinctive approach even led him to adjust the tension of his HHX China cymbals, resulting in their characteristic wavy appearance. To capture this essence, SABIAN’s skilled artisans applied a special lathing process to the Dominator's top surface. Combined with a raw bell and HHX hammering, this results in a dynamic, trashy instrument that responds swiftly with a dark, sharp attack.
