     You are looking at a classic 1970's Shure Brothers 565S (Unisphere 1) dynamic cardioid microphone set at low impedance that comes complete with a cable and mic case shown. This 565S model was introduced in the early 1960's and was a widely used mic by many famous musicians and set at low impedance having a beautiful warm, smooth tone with just the right amount of bass and a strong signal. The 565S came with the lower pistol grip designed to screw onto any stand you have and it had the on / off switch. It comes with the original long cable as well as mic case shown.

 Pic # 2 is from an old Shure catalog showing this very model and many other variants of the 565 model. A very high quality Shure product that can compete with even the best dynamic cardioid mics of today. Many of these older models had an even higher quality build which is testament to why 50 years later they still work like new and sound amazing.

 The 565 series microphone had a reputation of being very rugged and durable much like the SM-58 microphone of today.

 This 565S has been cleaned and tested. Sounds just like the day it was first manufactured. This mic is an excellent choice for both broadcasting and singing purposes and excellent uni-directional characteristics blocking out most background noise.

 As you can see in the pictures provided the satin chrome finish shows just very lite cosmetic wear looking quite exceptional. It has a gorgeous luster and the black plastic fitting looks very nice as does the Shure label that encircles the lower globe. The chrome globe shows no wear at all and free of any dents, odors or tarnish and mic has a new inner foam liner / pop filter under the globe to help with unwanted feedback from wind or strong breathing. No loose parts.

 It should be noted that the threading for the cable is in excellent condition.

 The mic comes with a 15 foot 4 pin cable to operate this mic. The cable is very soft and pliable and has the standard Switchcraft male XLR end connector. The cable works perfectly and is great for any studio application. There is just lite wear on the XLR connector but the cable is in perfect working condition. No issues.

 The vintage period case is also part of this package deal. A larger durable metal case with new foam inner padding. A Great place to keep the mic while not in actual mic as it keeps dust, dirt and scratches away. This case shows extremely lite wear and has a beautiful mustard yellow painted exterior with a practical handle for carrying it around and a locking mechanism. The case is appx 14 inches across X 7 inches deep X 2 inches tall. Case is an easy 8 + on a scale of 1 - 10.

 There is plenty of room inside the case for the mic and cable.
