Inspired by the vintage flattop acoustics of the early 20th century, this is the Taylor 814e Super Auditorium as part of the new Gold Label Collection!

The Gold Label Collection features a new fanned V-Class bracing pattern that has a fan-like arrangement of braces in the lower bout - all set in place with traditional hot hide glue. The guitars feature a new long tenon neck joint to result in greater low-end resonance and a similarity in feel/tone to historic acoustics that feature dovetail neck joints. What's unique about Taylors use of the long-tenon is that it remains glueless and brings even easier micro-adjustment ability to the neck.

Visually, each Gold Label Collection guitar has aesthetics based off of vintage banjos and mandolins, early Taylor designs from the 1970s and Andy's own pre-Taylor work on archtop guitars. There's a new headstock shape with an angled back cut and reinterpretation of the Taylor logo. The bridge is a curve wing design carved of Honduran rosewood rather than ebony and they are paired with bone bridge pins. Each Gold Label Collection guitar will also be loaded with L.R. Baggs Element electronics.
